WARWICK — The Warwick Valley High School Drama Club is bringing back the “Literature to Stage Series” with a live presentation of "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 2 and 3.

This official and faithful adaptation, dramatized by Joseph Robinette, has all of the enchanting characters found in C.S. Lewis’s beloved 'The Chronicles of Narnia" series.

Featured are the benevolent Aslan the lion, Jadis, the wicked White Witch, Mr. Tumnus the faun, the kindly Mr. and Mrs. Beaver and the four children who enter the wondrous and magical wardrobe for their fantastic adventure.

All the memorable episodes from the story are represented in this exciting dramatization: the temptation of Edmund by the witch, the slaying of the evil wolf by Peter, the witnessing of Aslan's resurrection by Susan and Lucy, the crowing of the four new rulers of Narnia, and more.

Tickets for "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" will be sold at the door only; the box office will open one hour before the performance time.

Tickets are $10 general admission and $8 for children ten and under and senior citizens.

Geared specifically toward younger audiences, this production has a special curtain time of 7 p.m. for the night performances and a 1 p.m. matinee on Saturday.

If residents should have any questions, they may contact the Drama Club at 987-3050 ext. 22500 or via email at wvhsdramaclub@wvcsd.org.
