Runner Thomas Gardiner is WV High School's 'Student Athlete of the Week

— Warwick Valley High School is proud to select senior Thomas Gardiner as this week’s "Student–Athlete of the Week" under the program sponsored by the Bill Garcia Allstate Insurance

Thomas is a three-season runner for the Wildcats and recently selected captain of the Indoor Track Team. He has been recognized by the NYSPHSAA as a Scholar–Athlete all seasons of his high school career (90 or better in season).

In his high school track career, he has been a New York State, Section and County Champion in various events and recently signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, and major in education.

Thomas is an outstanding student with an unweighted grade point average of 93.1. His course includes government and politics and biology for college credit.

He is a member of the Leadership Academy and is currently working on completing his Eagle Scout Badge.

Thomas Gardiner is the son of Karyn and Vincent Gardiner of Warwick. His sister Hannah is in the fourth grade at Park Avenue and his brother Patrick in the Warwick Valley Middle School.
